I just have to brag a little — I’ve won awards from Southwestern Watercolor Society, Irving Art Association, and Trinity Arts Guild!

This November in IAA’s Collage, Assemblage and Printmaking Exhibit, my watercolor monoprint “Leftovers” won 2nd Place in Printmaking. It was composed of leftover ghost prints from several images, thus the name.

This September in the 51st Southwestern Watercolor Society Members Exhibition, my acrylic monotype/painting called “Just a Step to the Left…” received the Creative Catalyst Merchandise Award. Yep, it’s a reference to Rocky Horror.

In the 13th Annual Irving Wildlife and Domestic Animal Juried Art Competition, my acrylic monoprint / painting “Escape from Shroedinger’s Box” received a 3rd Place in Mixed Media.

In the 59th Annual Irving Art Association 2014 Members Juried Exhibit, my collage “Reading for the Moon” received a 3rd Place in Mixed Media. It was made from acrylic monoprints. My son Sean has claimed it, so it’s going into his art collection.

In Trinity Arts Guild’s 2014 Challenge Show, I won three awards:

1st Place Award in the Action/Motion Challenge Category for “Cat Tangle” (acrylic monotype / painting)

Honorable Mention Award in the Action/Motion Challenge Category for “Cat Dance” (acrylic monotype / painting)

Honorable Mention Award in the Water Challenge Category for “Burgess Falls”
